North Jersey RC&D is proud to have been awarded a Coastal America Partnership Award as part of the Musconetcong River Restoration Partnership. This group was recognized for its role in the successful removal of the Finesville Dam, thereby restoring natural stream flow, improving aquatic habitat for native fish populations, and reducing local flooding in heavy rain events. This award is given to just a few groups each year. Its purpose is to recognize outstanding collaborations which restore and protect our nation’s coastal environment.
NJRC&D also congratulates its partners in this award: USDA/Natural Resources Conservation Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service, Musconetcong Watershed Association, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, American Rivers, Conservation Resources, NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife, Musconetcong Home River Intitiative, Trout Unlimited, NJ Corporate Wetlands Restoration Parnership, and the National Park Service.
