Musconetcong River Watershed Restoration and Implementation Plan

In 2013, North Jersey RC&D received grant funding support from NJDEP through the division of Water Monitoring and Standards, Bureau of Environmental Analysis, Restoration and Standards (BEARS) to implement and construct various stormwater and agricultural best management practices in the region in order to reduce the sediment and pathogenic loads to the watershed. North Jersey RC&D will be working with the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program and the Musconetcong Watershed Association over  several years to design and implement projects as identified in the Musconetcong River Watershed Plan.  The Musconetcong River Watershed Restoration Plan focuses on the 19.6 square mile area that includes the main stem and tributaries from Warren and Hunterdon Counties, including Turkey Hill Brook and West Portal Brook.
