WHAT IS HEAVY USE
AREA PROTECTION (HUAP)
The stabilization of areas frequently and intensively used by people, animals or vehicles by establishing vegetative cover, surfacing with suitable materials, and/or installing needed structures. HUAP are useful for areas that become muddy and eroded as a result of animal or vehicle traffic.
TYPES OF (HUAPs)

Areas around cattle watering troughs or tanks

Areas around locations such as feeding troughs or mineral boxes

Walkways and Farm Roads

Loafing areas for dairy cows
